Z is for Zillion

I love to ask questions.

Just ask my family… or maybe don’t…I already do that a lot and that drives them crazy.

I have been known to ask a zillion questions about everything and anything; a trip, about what happened in school, about how that spoon ended up in the sink instead of the dishwasher for the zillionth time, and a zillion more etc.

But my all-time favourite question to ask is:

If you had all the money needed and the time to travel, where would you travel to first? And of course, why?

And surprisingly for a question that I ask so frequently, I don’t have a definitive answer myself.

I tend to waiver between an African country such as Zambia or Botswana (for the animals) and India, usually. But then, I get indecisive and want to put all of Europe on the list (because Europe gobbles up a lot of money). OH and then there is Antarctica and The Galapagos Islands too!

So since I love to ask questions, I will repeat myself (not that I ever do that of course) and ask you, my reader:

If you had all the money needed and the time to travel, where would you travel to first and why?

Thanks for travelling with me and the Family C from A to ZΒ this month. Oh no! I can feel alphabet withdrawal coming on. πŸ™‚

An around the world trip, because I can’t choose πŸ™‚ I loved Hawaii though and would love to go back… and Antarctica would be so exotic to visit once in a lifetime!

If I had all the money in the world, I think I would start my travels in Spa, Belgium. Had the best meal of my life there, would like to have some of that tasty food again. Then I would go over to the Keukenhof Gardens in Holland and then over to Baden, Baden in Germany to enjoy the pools there (but not go upstairs where people walk around naked – that kind of scares me) then down to Venice and back up to Paris. That would be a great trip.

The five ‘Stans of central Asia. Why? Because who actually goes there? They just seem so uncharted.

A cool idea. I have read some travel bloggers who have been and all report good things.

I’d head straight to Key West – my favorite place, and a great home base from which to plan all the next travels! Sure, it’s not overseas for me, but the drive out is worth the trip alone. That the city is awesome once you’re done with the drive only makes it that much better!

(Also, I’ve loved your A to Z Challenge – congrats on making it to the end!)

Thanks Sarah. Key West is fun and beautiful. And yes… it can lead to lots of other great places too.

  7. That’s a toughie. I haven’t traveled extensively. So if I had all the time in the world and a zillion dollars — πŸ˜‰ — I’d start with Europe. I’d like to see Hawaii, Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji. Yup. Just waiting on that zillion dollars. I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to get to know you and your blog through A to Z, Cheryl. It’s been highly entertaining. I look forward to your future posts.

I’d go to Australia and New Zealand. Over on the other side of the world. English speaking. Similar to the US + Canada. But not quite the UK either. I perceive Australia and NZ to be fascinating, slightly eccentric cousins, with wild stories to tell and beautiful vistas to see.

I have been to neither but have heard only great things about both. Apparently NZ is gorgeous and has a lot of outdoor activities to do.

Hmmm….depends. If it was to visit people, Malaysia, Chile, England, and the UAR. Just for the joy of visiting, the United States and Canada – each state and province. Then I’d like to see Ireland and Scotland.

I have so enjoyed getting to know you!

All great choices! The US has so much to offer and Canada is great but oh so large to travel. Ireland and Scotland would be much more “doable” in size. I hope you get to fulfill some of your wishes. Thanks so much for following along πŸ™‚

I’m lucky to have already travelled extensively, but there are still many places I haven’t been. I think the first on my list would be Argentina and Patagonia.

I have loved traveling with you from A to Z during April! An amazing journey … thank you! As for personal travels, I’ve always wanted to see New England in the autumn, Prince Edward Island, Ireland and Scotland and Wales. Obviously, I am an indecisive traveler too, though not nearly as well-seasoned a traveler! Blessings as you blog and travel on, Cheryl!

I would go on a Mediterranean cruise with my family. I love the idea of seeing all those wonderful European countries from the comfort of my floating luxury hotel! My in-laws took a 10 day cruise last year and couldn’t say enough good things about the experience.

Sounds amazing. Europe is the best and seeing it in style too would be wonderful. Would definitely be one trip to remember!

I would do Europe in a van. I did it with my parents at 18, but I wasn’t a good traveler then. I want to do it with my husband. He speaks English, French, Arabic, and Spanish so traveling with him is super easy and delightful. I want to travel from one architectural wonder to another (my hubby is an architect). Also, I want to hit cafes and museums. I love the cultural and artistic side of travel. But I’m not leaving out the food – there must be plenty of good food.

    I would go to Ireland.

I would take my mom to Lourdes, France, because she is very religious and I’d want to go there first so as to beat death (is that morbid?). The three countries on my list for a while have been France, Italy and Spain. But I’d like to travel all over Europe.
